Our brand guidelines are designed to help you understand our brand identity and ensure consistency in how Openly is presented to the world.
1.0 Visual guidelines
1.1 Logo
Primary logo
The primary Openly word mark comes in plum and white and should be considered the first option whenever the logo is used.
Secondary logo
The grayscale logo should be used when color is not an option.
Clearance
The minimum space around the logo is equal to half the width of the letter “O” in Openly.
A minimum area of clear space allows the logo to stand out by ensuring that any copy or other visual elements are kept clear from the logo.
Minimum sizes
For readability, the scale of our logo needs to have special considerations. Do not reduce these elements below these designated pixel values.
Incorrect usage
To make sure the brand appears as consistently as possible across all touch-points, these are a few ways we don’t want the logo to be distorted.
1.2 Colors
Our color palette is a crucial element of our visual identity. Our colors help to create a differentiated and recognizable brand presence across all mediums. Our primary palette includes Plum, Dark Plum, Cream and Gray. Primary colors are to used for promotional material. Our secondary palette includes 4 accent colors rose, mint, sky blue and gold to add variation and interest. The graduated colors can be used in conjunction with the Primary and Secondary colors to add contrast.

1.3 Typography
Bookmania
While there are 10 weights, the Openly brand will only require Light (for headlines and numerals) and the occasional use of Regular for smaller font sizes.
Libre Franklin
There are 18 weights of Libre Franklin. The Light, Regular, and Medium weights will be used for the majority of body copy, subheadings, and CTAs.
1.6 Photography
Openly’s photography style features sincere, candid moments of families, friends, couples, and individuals living their lives to the fullest.
→ Subjects are never camera aware
→ Mix of indoor and outdoor
→ Mix of “at home” and on vacation
→ Mix of close up and far away images
→ Subjects should be diverse in race and age
→ Lighting should feel warm and use as much natural light as possible
→ Photography can be used with or without a window pane clipping mask
