The Matillion identity is the cornerstone of our visual image. As such, we must treat it with the same respect we give our customers. It’s up to all of us to ensure that every impression is consistent, positive, sophisticated, easy to understand, and enjoyable. This guide has been carefully developed to ensure that the Matillion’s brand is presented in a uniform and consistent way.
The following pages provide a set of guidelines detailing how to use our identity correctly. This manual should be shared with graphic designers, advertising agencies, printers, or anyone implementing an element of the brand.

Logo Symbol
Matillion has two versions of its symbol for social media one static, one animated. For the circular icon, the icon character with nodes have been reduced in size to accommodate this particular crop and ensure maximum legibility. Please use the correct version where appropriate. The icon is available in our logo package.
Clear Space & Minimum Size
Clear Space
A minimum clear space must frame the Matillion logo. No other design elements may be positioned within this space, including typography, photography, and illustration. The minimum clear space is based on half the height of the ‘o’ and extends from the outermost edges of the logo on all sides.
Minimum Size
With decreasing size, the logo may begin to distort and become illegible. To avoid this risk, please only use approved artwork and do not print below the specified minimum size shown below. The logo should not be printed any smaller than 0.2” tall in print and 25px tall on the screen.
Kerning
Incorrect Usage
Adherence to these guidelines will ensure that the integrity of the identity is maintained. The simplest way to follow these guidelines is to use the approved digital artwork for all variants of the logo, and use good judgment in applying them. Shown are some examples of what not to do.

B. Never print the logo in a different color
C. Never highlight a character individually

Partner Branding
When presenting the Matillion logo alongside a sponsor logo, use the Matillion icon as a measuring tool for clear space all around the logo. Always present the Matillion logo first and ensure that neither the partner/sponsor logo height nore width exceeds the height and width of the Matillion logo.
Typography
The primary headline typeface for Matillion is Gabarito. It is legible, modern, and confident. Two weights are used for specific purposes and needs: Medium and Regular. Color Usage with Font Weight and Size
Clear Space & Minimum Size
It is important that our brand is accessible for everyone. An aspect of this is the color contrast between text and background color.
To ensure a high enough contrast on web materials, only use white (#FFFFFF) and dark blue (#0C2656) as text colors on the appropriate background color.
Along with color contrast, accessibility also depends on font weight and size.
For primary (green) and secondary colors, dark blue (#0C2656) should ideally be used as text overlay, however in some instances, white text can be used if text is at least: > 18pt and Semibold/Bold OR >24 pt and Regular weight.
Dark blue (#0C2656) text can be used at any size and / or weight.
If you want to use Emerald Green on white only use the darkest shade! (#0C643D)
